Wow, if they could teach elephants to paint, imagine what they could train you to do! Finally getting around to catching up on the blogs. Sounds like and amazing time. Try not to come back with too many diseases....

Aloha Dema,
I really enjoyed reading the beginning of your many tales on this trip. You had me totally fantasizing about being in that village. It's cool you're taking the time to write in so much detail. I'm not sure that I could have killed the pig but I applaud you at recognizing the potential hypocracy, as a meat eater, of not doing it. I had the pleasure of spending a month in Maui in a solar powered situation similar to that which you described. I freakin' loved it. Just a miniscule amount of light for a little while really forces you to focus on more important things. I'm looking forward to following the rest of your adventure. Be safe man.

Peace, Timmmy D.

Goodness, boys! This is WAY more entertaining than doing my homework. We'll miss you at homecoming this weekend, but keep writing jewels like this and I'll forgive you.

*hugs*
~mandie
