Aloha Dema,
I really enjoyed reading the beginning of your many tales on this trip. You had me totally fantasizing about being in that village. It's cool you're taking the time to write in so much detail. I'm not sure that I could have killed the pig but I applaud you at recognizing the potential hypocracy, as a meat eater, of not doing it. I had the pleasure of spending a month in Maui in a solar powered situation similar to that which you described. I freakin' loved it. Just a miniscule amount of light for a little while really forces you to focus on more important things. I'm looking forward to following the rest of your adventure. Be safe man.
